Sounds like Northern Exposure, but with wine.

Fuck my first day of work alone in my department. Well, I have a boss, but he doesn't do anything so I'm the only one doing work. Really, I've had multiple people who should know ask me what he does all day and I can't give them a proper explanation.

I'm totally hooked on True Crime!

I made a broccoli peanut salad last night that was quite tasty.

I was pretty excited that she never even questioned if it was ok for her to go as Cap. She's 12 and usually super self-conscious (redundant), but it never even came up. She did however ask for a skirt to cover her butt (I found some great navy workout pants for her to wear). Baby steps.

I second the coloring. My niece has OCD and her therapist recommended it. The new adult coloring books are awesome - really detailed and beautiful. I love that that's becoming a thing.

Helped my niece with her Captain America costume and tried to run errands in the deluge of rain we got this weekend. I also caved and decided to play along with Halloween, so I ordered a coat and hat to be Carmen Sandiego next weekend.

Of course we do. But also because Kristen Bell did a pretty awesome Mary Poppins parody for Funny or Die.

Don't Trust the B in the MCU

Hurray for Jessica Jones and Continuum Season 4!

It's the plane ride on his way out to LA to surprise Holly, shot as "real time" so it'll be a prequel trilogy of 2-hour movies.

Oof you got double-whammied.

I just finished Ready Player One - fun adventure story. I think I posted on a newswire about the movie, but I really don't get either the intense love or virulent hate for it. ::shrugs::

I finally finished recording and editing a bunch of training videos for work. Hurray for not having to listen to my own voice explain the same thing over and over any more!

Fuck people thinking they get to decide the "realness" of someone else's trauma.

Aw I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm not sure who owns this particular shit to fuck, but my coworker, aka 33% of my department, is leaving. While I'm glad for her and not having to hear her constant bitching any more, this means that (1) I'll have double work for the foreseeable future, because my boss doesn't do the "little tasks" as he puts it -

I'm glad he (and your dog) are doing ok now. That is just terrifying. My parents are getting to that stage in life, and both of them live by themselves (although I see my mom regularly) that I'm convinced something like that is bound to happen sooner rather than later. Blerg.
