I loved the movie as a kid (it freaked me out, but I loved it). Watching it as an adult, I was so impressed with the set design. Mombi's palace and the Nome King's room of tchotchkes are both amazingly detailed. Even the electroshock machine in the beginning is great - very steampunk, before steampunk became a thing.

Night Cheese

I'd like to see them phase Piper out - readjusting to life after her sentence, possibly getting involved with reformation work, like you said, etc. - but after that has run its course, she could easily be dropped from the cast and have the other/new storylines carry on. They hung on to Larry for way too long -

I prefer "Peter Gallagher of Center Stage fame…"

Also the phrase "underage lover" should never be used. Lover implies consent, something not possible from someone underage.

"I trust the orgy pit has been scraped and buttered."

Agreed. They mentioned in an earlier episode that he graduated cum laude after Matt's suma, so it's great they finally gave him a chance to show off a bit (especially for Karen). He may not be as charismatic as Matt in the courtroom, but he's still a good lawyer.

Just once, I'd like to see a ninja org chart.

I didn't know much about the casting for the season (didn't know Vincent D'Onofrio would be Kingpin) and thought after the first episode that I could see them doing the "the supposed assistant is actually the mastermind all along" thing, just because that actor had that undercurrent. D'Onofrio is fantastic, of course,

I hope O'Neal isn't kidding about the estate planning. I'd hate to think my will wouldn't feature licensed characters.

Austinites. Sorry, correcting people about Austin is drilled into you when you're born in Austin.

It's clearly time for me to go home, because that I assumed from the headline that David Oyelowo had some grudge against Dylan O'Brien, but the latter did something charming at the awards show to win him over. Obviously, these two were meant to be the next iteration of the Odd Couple. After all, both their last names

It definitely gives her the M in her MEGOT.

I started refurbishing a hutch I bought at a garage sale, and I'm really excited about how it's looking so far. I wish I could be working on that instead of at work (obviously). I finished rewatching GoT before last night's premiere, and started on Daredevil, which has rekindled my love for Charlie Cox. Pretty good,

In my personal (and unimpeachable) opinion, Lake Como is the most beautiful place on earth, the one place where it is actually not possible to be aesthetically improved by the addition of George Clooney.

C'mon, there will always be the Grammys.

They definitely always meant for it to stand for "Kitchen Fresh Chicken". ALWAYS!

Perhaps one of the evil corporations can be a consulting firm specializing in branding, and their evilness is focused on making ridiculous changes to established brand identities that only result in people mocking them.

Pretty damn good, except for waking up thinking it was Sunday, then realizing I had to go to work. Had a good meeting, got a delicious lunch from the liquor store (Spec's Deli) and made progress on some non-work projects. Hurray!

I started rewatching Game of Thrones in anticipation of Season 5 starting next week - it's my first rewatch and infinitely more enjoyable now that I can stream it on my TV (via Amazon's Fire Stick) rather than on my older, buffer-happy laptop. It made an excellent companion to my other activity of dismantling a hutch
