Oh yes, TA is definitely grounded in a way Hannibal isn't. I quite like both styles, but I know Hannibal's operatic tendencies can rub people the wrong way.

Does FXNow work well for you? Every time I try to stream on there, it buffers like crazy. I finally just gave up and bought the season pass on Amazon.

I'm the same way - this is the first season I've watched in real time and I think I prefer watching a season in one go. It's easier to see the bigger picture when you watch it as a whole season, rather than each episode separated by a week.

It's definitely a slow-burn show in the vein of Hannibal - a lot of what happens happens in small, quiet moments on the character's faces that reward paying close attention. I'm not usually that big on champagne, but there was a lot of it around at the wedding I was setting up, so I went with

I'm starting an interior decorating/event planning side business! I'm pretty much doing everything at cost right now, but it keeps me sane while I still go to my mind-numbing 8-5.

I always like the standalones way more than the long arc ones. Hopefully a short run series means Chris Carter won't have too much time to get up his own butt with the mythology this time.

You're Jeff Vader?

I feel the same way about zombies, i.e. mehhhhhh, but I really enjoyed the pilot. It's going in the rotation!
