To paraphrase T. Pratchett: It's a substition. It's true whether you believe in it or not.

I was hoping for Alice from Luther.

2 Big 2 Hero 6

Happy belated birthday!

At least a third of that chart's width is due to Walder Frey's insane horniness. I also appreciated how they tried to document Robert's various infidelities, then just gave up. And Samwell's brother is named Dickon *snicker*. I should get back to reading these books.

Oh I love set design and costumes so much. In another life, I'd love to be a set dresser. My personal ones: the clock from Labyrinth, any of Mary's evening dresses from Downtown Abbey, Sansa's wedding dress (or any piece of GoT clothing done with embroidery - they're all amazing). The one thing I've actively tried to

Yeah, I'm just behind on the whole season, so I don't really know how much of a spoiler it actually was. But I usually pride myself on avoiding reveals for shows I know I'm going to watch on demand. My brain was just too slow this morning. Have you enjoyed the season and Capaldi?

Welp, that's what I get for reading WOT first thing in the morning. My eyes/brain aren't up to skimming speed yet and I accidentally read a huge reveal on Doctor Who. Happy Friday, everyone!

Apparently (if he really does exist), he was on Boardwalk Empire. I still have doubts.

No, but I can not make my brain understand that Michael Shannon is not the same person as Michael Sheen. There's only one Wesley Snipes!

Ah the old Golden Dick Rule. Words to live by.

He really is. It's too bad he's overshadowed by Bomer (hard not to be overshadowed by him) because he's so likable and I love all his relationships - with Neal, with Elizabeth, with his employees.

I'm right there with you. This show just hits all the right notes for me: capers, painfully handsome man in gorgeous suits, stories that don't take themselves too seriously, plus I've always loved the way they've shot New York - all blue sky and beautiful architecture.

In case anyone's concerned, none of the above things ended up happening, including crying, which is a personal victory. I do need to fix some shit, but it turns out I have a super supportive boss. I'm a lucky duchess.

I haven't had a root canal, but I have a hard time with the sounds of the dental tools on my teeth, so I listen to audiobooks during long appointments like that. Then I can focus on the story in a way that I can't with music. Best of luck on everything!

[Commiserating Internet hug] I hope you get some sleep!

I'm more than equipped to do it, but I've been mired in depression for the last 3 months and it's severely impacted my ability to give a shit. It's an entry-level job that my boss over-hired for to boost his internal importance and is completely unchallenging.

I have a meeting in 3 hours in which I am almost certainly going to be yelled at, possibly put on a performance plan, potentially (long-shot) fired. It will largely be justified and I will most likely cry. I am not looking forward to this.

Hot Button Bumper Cars - where you can fight about current issues without actually getting anywhere.

Couldn't it just actually be Chris Tucker? I don't think he's super busy right now.
