What is comes down to is if she has enough money she could afford a lawyer that would find one person in 12 who wouldn’t tho’. I’d wager she settles for something very lenient since it was an older explorer and the prosecutor doesn’t really want to bring this one to trial.

I think her lawyer will argue the goal itself was not the death of the thief but the return of her property. If her goal was his death then she could have just kept running him over again and again like we have seen on here before.
