Should have went for the Outback!
Should have went for the Outback!
Seriously. If you are sending more people to the DMV more often it’s only going to increase the rage in the world.
You say that, but if you think about it.... this crazy lady driving up on this XJ jerk really jacked up traffic for a long time. Someone just changing a tire where I live slows traffic. Somebody ramming another car and tickets being written was probably slowing traffic for a least an hour.
Nah people are still doing it on the same Civics, because they are still running. After those are gone I suspect you are right. After Kswaps it seems like there is going to be just too many feedback loops to mess with. Reading about the Z06 Pikes Peak car made me realize just what a huge ass undertaking that turns out…
Well that and if any part of head or exhaust manifold cracks you are buying all of it instead of just one part. I imagine that will make a difference in cars and trucks that are pushed beyond normal daily driving. Seems like accidents would put more stress on the head now too that one less part will fail before…
Excellent “Enhance” skills man!
I think it has more to do with resonance. The siren doesn’t cause anything to rattle and it’s around 120 decibels. A small subwoofer will rattle all kinds of stuff on an ambulance, police car etc... and lower volumes and in a separate vehicle.
Check your mirrors and look for the lights is the answer to this. Deaf people can be excellent drivers and they will never hear a siren.
They were running your license plate to see if you were a kidney match. It must have come back “No” about the time you stopped. Count yourself lucky...the things we have to do to supplement our minimum wage incomes are sometimes not exactly pretty.
Tow trucks should only be rocking yellow lights by law unless it is some sort of emergency vehicle.
Nope. First reaction to a small group of people (about one in twenty) is just to panic freeze. Most people don’t assume the lights and sirens are about them. Every once in a long while someone will just plain outright give zero f—ks and will ignore them completely.
Still a thing.
People usually are focused on the passing emergency vehicle tho’ and pull right back into their lanes. That is why they teach us not to run code 3 one after another. It really ups the danger somebody is going to just pull out in front of you or T-bone you.
At some point your car is going to move over all on it’s own.
Sometimes at intersections we will take “on coming” traffic. But yeah if there is a median the only way I’m pulling over is if I see them jammed up and possibly coming over to my side.
The oblivious people are just like any other obstacle in the road. It helps to treat them exactly as such. If you focus your energy on them it is like target fixation. I’ve ridden with people who try to make them pull to the right where it becomes a battle of wills. They want to use the moment to teach people how to…
Lights and sirens were fine...driving too fast for environment was clearly the issue. This is going to be part of their EVOC training footage now for sure.
