We really need some federally mandated psych training for police and EMS. Maybe 24 hours of lecture/skills/testing and 24 hours working in a psych facility. It would likely improve a lot of the outcomes for people on both sides of this coin.

The choice isn’t “help people or lie to people.”
“Why weren’t there sprinklers and fire alarms going off?”
Instead of 15 years in prison for manslaughter, justice would be better served by having them drink, shower, wash their dishes and prepare all of their meals with the water they created for no more (or no less time) then the Flint residents have had to. Even that is getting off cheap, because they don’t have to think…
Pretty much one gun for every single person.
Sounds like a lot of potential for things to go wrong. How do you know how many guns they own? How do you know where they are? What if the person needs their firearm for work or protection? Do police departments get to profit off the confiscated weapons like the current asset forfeiture b.s.?
Not everyone grows up in a “safe place”...so maybe ease back on the snap judgments.
I still can’t afford a new car...I’ll be a very late adopter if ever.
I’ll be 89 long dead. I’ve never owned an automatic, but if watching my parents drive at 75 is any indicator...automatic cars would be a godsend to the majority of the 70+crowd.
2016 v6 Accord with a 6speed is probably going to be sought after car now that they killed off the 6 cylinder Accord this year.
I remember that Russian truck accident where the guy steps out the windshield post accident like freaking superhero.
They show fatal crashes on the six o’clock news all the time. If you close your eyes can’t you see Dale Earnhardt hitting the wall or Tony Stewart clipping that kid?
Worked 96-104 hour weeks, staying up 28 hours straight while driving an ambulance for years. There are zero federal and state protections to provide rest for emergency medical personnel. Google ambulance crash and most of them are sleep deprivation related.
62 year old M.D.s don’t work 24+ shifts. If by some super rare chance they are doing their residency in their 60's they still get to lie down and nap between Pt’s. Probably had a syncopal episode.
Wow that looks like something from a GTA 5 Kotaku article.
Nah, it has to be a hot issue to get small injuries and big rewards. Jury isn’t going to pay much for a traffic accident unless it’s a particularly loathsome human being behind the wheel high on something. Otherwise the jury is going to empathize with the driver. That’s why people who kill cyclists rarely even get a…
Not a single one....you sure?
It’s pronounced Deer-tay!
