I was just there two days ago. Hope you like mountain dirt road detours. They are long ones. There is a locals only road that adds three hours if you want to pop in between slides on highway 1.

Some peoples scary is other peoples’ fun! I love that ride. Scary for me is motorcycle on those one lane Mt. Roads two weeks into a rain storm with multiple active rock slides.
