If this game gets VR support, I won’t know what to do with myself.

DVR is also about jumping into a show you started late, or pausing live TV if dinner is burning on the stove.

iFlicks 2 + iTunes, and basically everything you can download can get loaded into your iTunes Library and stream over your network. Automate the whole process and you can do it all from your phone remotely.

iTunes (the app) works very similar to Plex. You don’t need to get your content from Apple through the iTunes Store to use iTunes as a server to stream content to iDevices or an Apple TV. I have several ATVs (3rd and 4th gen) and use iTunes to stream local content. As long as you’re getting something in h264 you won’t

Sometimes, depending on the app, you can continue using basic apps while it plays in the background. Works better when “iTunes in the Cloud” functions properly, meaning it’s not actually pulling the stream from your phone, it really sends a link to the AppleTV and the ATV plays it directly (and your phone maintains

Universal Search and Siri both do that on the AppleTV.

That, and the complete lack of mentioning AirPlay as a major feature of the Apple TV (it was mentioned in passing after Chromecast), I’m missing that sense of impartiality in these comparisons - or at the very least, long for someone who actually uses each of these devices thoroughly.

I have had several Apple TVs over the years (since the original) and the new Siri Remote is heads and shoulders above the old silver remote. I mean, you can still use the old remote for most basic things with the ATV4, but the touchpad is much more versatile and feels like a standard Apple trackpad. My wife prefers

Getting a rubber case (with a wrist strap) has been the best addition to the Siri Remote. But I like it regardless - using Lightning to charge is slick, and scrubbing through lists with the touchpad is much easier than the old remote. Plus the hot-key points on the touchpad makes it work almost the same as the

As a fellow PlayStation Vue subscriber, I’d rank the PS4 and AppleTV as the two best devices to use. The FireTV Box is a strong #3, mostly the newest one and only really because of the channel surfing feature. But I love the touch-pad of the Siri Remote to scrub through the guide (so responsive now). I just wish it

Not confirming that I do the same, but I’d thought I’d mention that most torrent sites have videos in iTunes compatible format (h264, often mp4), meaning that all Apple devices would have access to that library (Apple TV, iPhone, etc) while your PC/Mac acts as the server.Even MKVs can get remuxed nearly instantly:

Honestly, the only thing that ‘bothered’ me in the finale.

I’m assuming you mean WGN-TV Channel 9, not WGN (aka WGN America). WGN-TV has news and sports, WGN has original shows. Either way, it’s not a great situation.

Just an example: T-Mobile has their Binge-On feature to let users stream unlimited video. Includes the live options like SlingTV, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, and a few others. Basically every channel app and premium service is included too (HBO, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc).

I’m starting to think you took this way too personally, dude. You were talking about a service you used a while ago that not only is better now, but even back then it was arguably the most fully featured service of this type -albeit with a shorter device list than YTTV at launch - and your experience with it just

Yeah, you are trying to sell me on Vue. You’re trying to sell everyone on Vue

One, you are coming up with theories and limitations that don’t apply to YTTV or my situation.

The local networks are what makes it SLIM or not. If you don’t have more than 3 local affiliate owned/operated by the broadcast networks, you get SLIM pricing. That’s not up to SONY, it’s because those local affiliates are independent and cannot be included in streaming deals on the content owned by the broadcast

In Chicago, you could get PlayStation Vue with all local affiliates, and you get CSN and CSN Live (Chicago feeds).
