The thing with the Netflix shows is it was all very real violence. You can get away with that stuff in a fantasy setting.

So does this mean the Punisher logo changes?

Fennec Shand assassin’s-creeded a whole room full of people, including stringing a guy up by the neck and the subtitles read “BONES BREAKING.” I don’t remember anything more violent than that from the Netflix shows. Bring it all to D+, that’s the only thing that makes sense.

I’m still furious that the cop that killed the man in the mentioned Call of Duty swatting faced NO consequences.

Unions are a good thing. Police unions are not.

They’re trained to treat every single engagement with the public as potentially life and death. Coupled with the increased militarization of departmental gear across the country, you get the routine bullshit they keep getting away with.

Agreed that “trolls” is a bit weak. “Criminals” is more reasonable.

artificial attempt at garnering interest"

So Kanye is now just calling out people for being decent to their fans now? I mean, commitments to safety were given long before Travis Scott. Kanye needs to get his own act together before trying to call anyone out.

Anyone who cares would rather forget about this assclown.

Consider this your periodic reminder that Kanye tried to help Donald Trump get reelected, to the point of allowing some shady shenanigans done in his name. I don’t know why nobody seems to remember or care

Yeah, I’m not digging the needless snark that’s been creeping in lately.

Don’t understand why people hated the finale, I thought it was pretty cool to have all the different parties come together and collaborate.

Yeah, and they did show what was going on with Boba since RotJ. Not sure what all the fuss is about.  Anything for a click I bet.

Fair points, and I appreciate the perspective. Definitely let this one get ahead of me. My bad.

This story is far more complex than the general take away that’s being spoon fed by headlines. It’s a lot of town politics involving re-zoning, developers posing as affordable housing angels when that was a microscopic part of their overall plans, and a rush to get everything approved well before it got any serious

Now playing

Ok, so I watched the Yellow Springs community meeting in question: Dave is just one voice of many on this issue.

As usual The Root has gone the way of Fox News for clicks and likes. Here is the actual story: The press trying to frame this is David Chapelle killing affordable housing for poor people. It’s not that simple. They offered a plan to get his $65 million investment, then switched up the project presumably to get tax

This felt like a typical NIMBY situation, but reading over the meeting notes it really looks like there are legitimate concerns that should’ve been ironed out a long time before this vote. It seems like the council/board/whatever made a deal for the development and assumed everyone would think it was for the best.
