My guess is that the monsters themselves aren’t actually the invaders. They’re the first wave, dropped into the planet to severely weaken its defenses and obliterate its population before a more intelligent sentient species, those that sent the sound monsters, arrives.

Series regulars have a different pay scale from guest stars, to my understanding.

I understand the cost argument, but I think they cut a few too many corners in the end. The hardware they established barely improved upon the Gamecube.

If the Wii had launched with the Wii U’s internal hardware, as well as the improved motion controls of the Wii Motion Plus, I think the entire narrative of Nintendo’s role in the console wars might have been different for that period.

Realistically, though, a false report isn’t the same as a report without evidence. The felony charge would require its own evidence that the Karen knowingly placed a false report.

I think the whole conversation would be more honest if Ubisoft said it wasn’t making a *partisan* statement. It’s hard not to be political, but not every political discussion or stance is automatically an advocacy for a specific party affiliation.

Maybe the io9.com domain was dropped?

It lets them engage in whataboutism, but the CCP‘ s current actions with regard to the Uighurs are a step above. A recent report commissioned by the UN found evidence of genocide along with multiple violations of the Geneva Code.

Being that this was an alpha test, and they’re really looking for folks to help find bugs with the build as-is... maybe modding/cracking the game right now is a poor call.

And you have to murder your boss to get a promotion?

It hasn’t always been this way, but then again, values have shifted over time. What conservatives actually stand for has shifted too.

I’d like the half-plus-seven rule to become an actual rule.

I agree that the question is murky, but I don’t agree that the two original persons ever ceased to exist. Tuvix even made some comment about them living through him. Which probably was true, though it was also clear that he was a separate person and therefore could not justly consent on their behalf to the continued

I’m not saying it’s not a hard ethical question. I’m saying that it has an analogue to the real world.

It’s not about snark. I just don’t think people have much ground to stand on if Nintendo decides to actually enforce copyright.

Tuvix is analogous to the Violinist in Judith Jarvis Thomson’s “A Defense of Abortion.”

The crazy thing here is that the school gives free parking to EVs. Those should require permits just like everyone else. They’ll still have better parking spot access, but they won’t get to skip out on the permit.

Or, y’know, people could just make their own original creations.

The Bob’s Burgers episode really needs a shout-out here.
