Doctor Sleep isn’t quintessential King, but on the whole it’s a decent piece of storytelling.

Did you see the Arise series? I would wager that Netflix would hire more from that cast than from SAC.

Kinda looks like the castle is rising up out of the ground. I wonder if that’s the means by which Link & Zelda travel to a new map.

Their literary skills are a bit shallow, but their first three “Dune: House” books had fairly solid storylines. If they leave the actual dialogue, character development, and pacing to the episode writers and directors, I could see them actually being quite useful from an IP-management standpoint.

Ramp-up time on a project this ambitious is going to be long. I would expect, however, that later episodes will come out at a steadier pace, since the core game engine and systems will have been built at that point.

The Midgar *reactor* is a short piece of the game. The whole of the Midgar story is quite lengthy, particularly for a first play-through.

Commander Keen? That takes me way back.

I wonder if DC/Warner not only didn’t like the show but realized that their DC Universe streaming platform wasn’t bringing enough customers.

There are two different Snyders being discussed in this thread, and I think you and the OP are referring to different people, possibly unintentionally.

Interesting. Because of his involvement with the Watchmen film adaptation, would it make sense to see Dr. Manhattan as a proxy for Zach Snyder?

What in the red meat sets off the Alpha-Gal syndrome? The impossible burger has several similar underlying components to meat; it just happens to not come from animal products.  It might be that she would have health issues with the Impossible burger too.

Unfortunately, if you live in a state where Medicaid wasn’t expanded, it has sometimes had the opposite effect. Several friends who were self-employed ended up seeing their insurance premiums skyrocket, all because our jackass legislature wanted to make sure the ACA failed.

Apparently it all started as a Netflix bug that made it show up under the “LGBT” film category.

Didn’t they sell the rights to the game as part of their bankruptcy liquidation?

Repurposing an otherwise common term as a brand name for something not particularly related to the term’s original usage is a common trademark method. I don’t have any problem with Iron Maiden, a rock band, trademarking the term when used to refer to something music-related.

1) This appears to be all a trademark dispute, not copyright.

A minor cannot legally sign a contract except in special circumstances. However, when a minor signs a contract outside of such circumstances, it does not mean the minor has broken the law. It is instead as if the contract had never been signed at all.

It doesn’t fully protect the company given the language of this bill. This legislation would base its restrictions on who is *actually* playing the game, not solely whoever the company can claim it is intended for.

It’s not a crime in itself to lie to an age gate.

Age gates aren’t any good at actually blocking sales to minors, and I doubt they’d provide much of a legal defense should this bill become law in its current form.
