And I will love every minute of it.

You’re apparently still getting a Venture Bros movie... and you know what? It’s probably going to introduce 10 new characters, and end without any sort of satisfying conclusion.

Better Break the Middle?

I agree with you; and that’s not splitting hairs at all. It’s actually the crux of the matter. It sounds like people are extrapolating “I did a lot of research” into “The movie is historically accurate.”

I mean, I’m no big fan of Chazelle, but who cares? I don’t think anyone was expecting nor cares that this is historically accurate.

Imagine watching this film and thinking it was trying to be historically accurate. It’s like watching Fellini Satyricon thinking you were getting a history lesson about Ancient Rome. Is Schrader for real?

Chazelle’s problem is that he’s inspired by earlier directors inspired by cocaine, like Martin Scorsese & Paul Thomas Anderson, rather than opiate users like Abel Ferrara.

Could’ve went the Indiana Jones route. First one is Raiders. After that it’s all “Indiana Jones and the ____” and then retroactively title the first one with the “Indiana Jones” part. I would go with “Benoit Blanc’s Glass Onion.” Benoit Blanc’s Knives Out”. But only because I like my shit at least somewhat

I can see his point, it’s a silly title.  Calling it ‘Glass Onion: A Benoit Blanc Mystery’ would at least make more sense.

I wish he didn’t eat all those lead paint chips as a child and later as an adult.”

Flash Gordon to Croupier is an impressive range for a director.

This really seems like it would’ve been better as a tax write-off than a TV series.

Knowing HBO Max, though, it’s already cancelled.

(pulls off mask) It’s Old Man Zaslav!

And then all their episodes get memory-holed so they never have to be paid residuals?

Came here to note this.  Also, for pete’s sake, everyone should be showing up to help keep the Rev Warnock in the Senate rather than the train wreck that is Hershel Walker.  If you haven’t ever, look up some of the times that the Rev. Warnock has spoken on the floor of the Senate.  He is a POWERFUL speaker.

Like most Republicans Kemp is a spineless wonder without ethics, morals or allegiances to the United States.

Whoever wins, we lose.

I haven’t seen a single episode, but my understanding was the housewives sat on white sofas and screamed at each other for the duration of the episode (sometimes this activity happens at a table by a pool, often with white wine). Now I’m to understand there are winners and losers?

If he was just a performer maybe but it was his festival so…his fault. Which is probably why he quietly settled 2 lawsuits.
