This is something that non MSM writers, especially those who have had the funding to get to Iraq, have been writing about since 2007. Sure, the abnormality of check points and security zones are obvious, but those abnormalities have generally delivered a much more normal lifestyle... One that hasn't been there since,

@Adrianis: np. Let's all be bros on the internet.

@Adrianis: I am with Herabek. You lose because your comment does not make a shred of sense, in any of the common tongues.

@infi: It's okay, you can read the article too.

Woah.. what a shock .. a Free text editing tool for OSX? I thought that was illegal or something.

Games generally do not follow calendarized events, where movies and other media typically do. The lone exception may be like a war-based series of games being released around Veterans Day, the landing in Normandy, etc.

Agreed. Buying your boss a gift is stupid. Bosses should be buying employees gifts.

There are a lot of reasons why Kim Jong-choi would not take over North Korea, but that was just an effective way of saying that he has no legitimate aspirations towards anything important. This isn't just a perspective that some officials in the US Gov't share, it's widely held by anybody that has any passingly

@HotChops: It could also be that you perceive your cause to make a greater difference than everybody else does... So, for others to get involved in a cause that they don't think makes as big of a difference as you do, there has to be an incentive.

The association with the 'tea party' or any sort of political analogue is, at best, a strawman and, at worst, simply nonsensical.

@joe.glass: Ahhh. With Dunks, I think a lot of it has to do with consistency, which is one reason I love Starbucks. No matter where you are in the country, if you get a Starbucks in Seattle, Boston, or Baton Rouge, it's going to taste almost exactly the same every time.

@battra92: I think it's just branding. in MA and New England they started calling their coffee Newman's Own, but throughout the rest of the country, they lacked the branding but the coffee was nearly identical... At least, I couldn't tell the difference.

@joe.glass: I always considered it to be revenge against the Bolivian army that Paul Newman endorsed a brand of coffee.

@battra92: McD's coffee isn't terrible. The two main problems: It's really inconsistent and the people who work there LOAD it up with cream & sugar no matter what you ask. I like cream, but not much, and I don't like sugar, so I'll ask for "cream only.." and it's like a half-and-half-coffee-milkshake, which makes

@ndonahue: Sorry, pre-tax. I'm in Worcester.. so it runs about $2.25 after Gov Patrick's 6.25% + Worcester's restaurant tax.

"Starbucks isn't known for its cheap coffee," underscores the idea that Starbucks sells expensive coffee. They don't. A large/venti coffee at Starbucks, around me, is $2.10. That's about the same price at any other popular chain.. with the exception of McDonalds undercutting Dunks, Sbux, etc., with pretty cheap

@B@tM@n: I agree with this. I've had some odd issues with Google apps before and custom domains... it's not really the easiest thing to setup in the world, especially if you own and host your domain elsewhere. The Google Apps / Google.com / Gmail triumverate oddly don't play that well together, especially when

I disagree with one idea to this. I know that people talk about having your own domain and looking more professional as a freelancer, but when conversing with somebody and giving an email address, I think that it is a lot more memorable to give my handle followed by @gmail.com .. because it is so recognizable. I

@GrandmasterYoda: I suppose we could probably make the same argument that it should be "Theos of War" or something.

The Wikipedia entry is hilarious to read. The "story" section and "mythology' section ... I love it.
