@t3knomanser: $8k is not chump change on a $200,000 mortgage when you consider equity. Most mortgages are still front-loaded with interest, where only a couple hundred dollars of every ~$1600 payment is used towards the equity of the house. Plopping down $8k or putting $8k of improvements into the property, within

Professor is giving due warning where one isn't necessary. The vast majority of housing markets are down, housing prices are at near decade lows for even very desirable markets, interest rates are at life-time lows, and the feds are giving you $8000 to make an investment.

@WhiteMåge: How could so many people (2?) misread your post... I will never know.

Mister Freeman ...? Doctor?

I like Longoria on the cover, I think it's a great choice... However, the game still sucks. I have no faith in MLB 2K10 after making some of the worst baseball games, over the last 4 years. Every year they take one step forward and two big steps back, then the next year goes out to fix those problems that they

It's a little weird that Gmail has been pushing Offline access while simultaneously developing an OS that is supposed to be almost entirely connected, with very little local storage. It just seems different.

Very interested in it so far, as a secondary "around the house" laptop/netbook... something that I can plop down in any room for, say, watching my fantasy players on Sunday or for looking up a quick list of chords for playing the piano, etc.

The Ground Round, when I was a kid. Kid's Eat Their Weight... so if you weighed 55lbs, you paid $0.55, if you weighed 90lbs, you paid $0.90. It was a great time to be a kid.

@friendslikeJimRome: The Google Maps voice nav is great. I commented below with more info but.. "Movies near me" laid over an excellent layer on the map and gave me all of the info I needed to find movies playing, play times, and then give me nav to the places... I thought it was great.

I used the Nav on the Android to drive up to the boondocks in New Hampshire last weekend. The device worked perfectly, minus the strange pronunciation of a few street names. The voice search is really the best part, IMO... it's so great to say "movies near claremont new hampshire," and then ... boom, with one click,

@Shinta: Perhaps you're not familiar with Communism and the love affair that the American academy has with it.

Points for cute dog doing anything. Negative points for tired attempts to get viral.

@Pat Windschitl: Only issue is pressure... the air inside the ball would need to escape somehow. If you start filling it up with water w/o a proper way to let the air out, you'll end up all wet and need a new ball.

@Marios_shadow: It's an excellent and authentic console online shooter. CoD4 was the first console shooter to approach the skill level required to be good at a game like, in the old days, CS. Consoles hadn't experienced that yet and have it done well. #modernwarfare2
