Batman has been known to have a pretty nice ‘mobile’
I might be misreading this, but it looks like she’s been named most admired woman in America 14 years in a row. Still, it’s just lucky that everyone didn’t answer “my mother”. (Although it would qualify to run for president as a Republican)
Maybe they get better readership while shunned.
The article was more a list of everything that did suck. Gizmodo was a fan of Apple TV, so it’s not mentioned in the article.
You’re confusing this with Apple users.
Isn’t there something beautiful about the fact that two of the first four comments were other terrible, new Apple products?
Well, I’ve read four of these and am pretty much always looking for books like them, so this is my new book list.
Happened like two days ago.
Here’s some popcorn, if you want to keep feeding that troll. How dare you present him with a different point of view!
I had forgotten the details on the bathtub.
I felt like the lack of discussion of radioactivity was because everyone had been living with it for long enough to stop discussing it. There was no “why did this happen to us?” at all, because causes were intentionally vague.
A meteor is plausible, but I don’t rank it higher than nuclear attack. I read it a while back and only remembered that the bathtub was part of their survival.
As has been mentioned, it’s not clear. However, everyone is sick (not totally clear cause) and the ground is covered with ash. It also seemed (to me) that the start was cataclysmic, but it’s been years since I read it.
I think it’s pretty clear in The Road lays out the cause of devastation as nuclear arms related. There’s mention of hiding in a bathtub and clocks all being stopped at the same time. Nuclear fallout would also explain the bacteria issue (not really).
I’ve found that spending a little effort on periodic optimization and re-evaluation has made the waiting easier and shortened my (projected) timeline to financial independence.
I know she wears it, but I’m just not really a fan. Also, I don’t think she’s still clay. Just formed from clay (although her origin has been tweaked too many times for me to be sure)
I feel like we’re in good company on io9.
Before I go into my (totally minor) issue with the WW design that you’re showing, let me first state that I agree that the design in the photos is pretty inconvenient looking, if she has to do any superheroics (or carrying anything bulky). Straps at a minimum.
Kickstarter backers are only obligated to pay for their commitment if the project is fully funded. However, perhaps it would have been more clear if the line had been written “Most funded Kickstarter projects...”
