Think of it as just a thing people called him instead of a name. "He's like a...Reverse Flash!" His powers actually do work like a reverse flash, because he does more crazy time travel. Don't worry, they'll just call him Zoom.

I have a pro-marvel bias, but it's still your bias showing. Marvel has a fine assortment of terrible names.

Maybe too obvious, though. What other rogues might he be?

I loved that JLA arc! I also loved that "Flash Facts" were such a part of it. They should get that in there!

I had to look it up, but yes. It's working!

Just hopefully not in the movie too much. It doesn't match the profile of force ghosts, otherwise.

Alec Guiness's ghost was a soft hand. He had lead through some of the best Jedi techniques that we got to see. Then, his death was also more powerful, because it was a sacrifice.

I follow that, but I don't think that Qui-Gon has much to offer.

They did, but the force ghosts don't tend to be around that often. I'd rather that they stick to that. Also, Qui-Gon is a less interesting character than other force ghosts. His development was light (probably the fault of the movie he was in, but still it's all we have to work with).

I would hope that he isn't in a major role, in that case. Force Ghosts don't tend to be around most of the time.

I would hope that as a force ghost, he'd only be occasionally present. It seems to be the established form with force ghosts.

True, but it wouldn't be the large role implied by the quote, above. Otherwise, he'd be acting very differently from all other force ghosts.

So appropriate, with the article today!

What's cool about this analysis is that it's mostly based on faked physics! There are a series on analyses that reveal the fake on a basis of what could really happen instead of what was obviously changed.

I guess my issue this that while a force ghost is a presence, it isn't usually

I think they can afford to stray from form enough to allow flashbacks. The style of the movies should develop along with the additional world-building. I tend to agree that he should be in the movie very little, but the quote suggests that he has a major role.

He could have some small overlap, but all-in-all, I agree with you.

I do think that the idea of robots are grotesques is pretty compelling. Robots are a pretty obvious Gregor Samsa analogy, too.

Absolutely! Although, not that much younger and maybe older than Ewan McGregor was at the beginning of the prequels...

I think that Qui-Gon could appear slowly as Obi-Wan develops the ability to perceive force ghosts. At this point, it's something only Yoda has done.
