I thought it was weird how Kylo is the only pilot to fly a fighter (planned, not an escape/stolen ship) without a helmet or some equivalent, and then I realized it’s probably entirely so that we can see his face when he connects with Leia while he’s flying.

I always got the impression that Barry coming back and unseating Wally was completely a Dan DiDio thing, not so much Geoff Johns. Bringing back Barry and whitewashing Hal’s past behavior with Parallax BS were the worst things those two did to those respective characters back then.

It’s gotta be Abraham. Everyone else I can think of in the group was in the Georgia-area to begin with. He’s the only one (and Eugene/Rosita) that starts off that far west.

It can certainly spoil that first disposable pleasure, and not getting to experience the twist naturally the first time can lessen your overall impression of the movie. Movies can be great even if they don’t have narrative “wow” moments, but why ruin the existing “wow” moments and resulting first impression of the

The reveal of a major twist can spoil the movie a great deal. Imagine an Empire Strikes Back trailer with “I am your father” line in it. Or the Sixth Sense with a narrator saying “But what if you’re already dead?”

I want to like this show, but it’s tough, because I don’t like most of the characters enough to care what happens to them. Black Bolt is really growing on me, and I’m curious to see how Maximus plays out. The rest of them are just annoying, and I find myself siding with Maximum more than the writers probably intended.

Was the Mask of the Phantasm that much better on blu ray? I watched it for the first time in ages on DVD on my big screen and was taken aback by the amount of grain and junk on the screen that made it really not look all that good.

Honestly, I think it’s great they’re giving these titles another chance, and also letting them be in their own universe, without the DCU baggage.

Daniel Craig is 49 and probably on his last Bond movie (his 5th). Let’s say they want Elba for 3 movies. He’s 45 now. At LEAST 3 years per movie, stating in a couple of years. He’s in his mid-50s before you start work on movie #3, and then late 50s if you want a 4th, almost 60 for a 5th. He’s likely aged out already

As a white guy with a white wife, it never occured to me to think about the color of the guy whose jerseys we get. Thinking back on it, we’re probably football 60/40 black/white and baseball 50/50 hispanic/white. My favorite college jerseys are from favorite black atheletes I went to school with, and it never occurred

It’s hard to want to see a deconstructed Superman when I don’t feel like the new DC movies have given us a properly constructed Superman yet.

Most articles I’ve read have backpedaled to say most deadly mass shooting in modern US history (defined as 1900 on onward), and also they started getting squishy about single/few shooters versus a mob, acknowledging the Tulsa massacre. I’ll be honest and say this is the first time I’ve ever heard of the Elaine

The position of the head on the left side of the picture makes this look like an animal, not a person, which is more disturbing...

Try not being an asshole. “We” also don’t “have” to cut down forestry for grazing lands. Brazil, a singular country who I don’t count in my definition of “we”, has chosen to, at least according to VivaHaze via the always correct Wikipedia. By the way, a citation of Wikipedia is not a citation at all.

Care to cite where we’re clearing lots of forests for livestock? There are plenty of grassy plains all over the world, and I’ve yet to hear of clearing of forests specifically for livestock. Housing, commericial/manufacturing construction, lumber, yes. Livestock, not so much.

For the love of God....Latino is the Spanish-appropriate adjective. Quit forcing PC anglicizing onto these people with your Latinx BS. For all the complaints about racism here, the creation and use of the term “Latinx” seems pretty damned racist.

Honestly, I think part of it is the one big time DC tried to use these, it was for a big failure that never came to pass (Green Lantern sequel teaser).

I don’t know, I enjoyed the (final) Avengers and Spider-Man post-credit scenes, and those had nothing to do with upcoming movies. Just little funny scenes set in the time frame of the same movie.

It’s hard to say he’s actually doing too much to try and bring about change when Kaepernick came out and said he didn’t vote because he didn’t think it mattered. Apparently thinking your presidential vote is meaningless means that your local representatives (legislators, judges, sherrifs) don’t matter. Stupid thinking

I watched this game in Houston, and this is the first time I’ve seen this play, because the local newscast cut in before they put the 1 second back on the clock, and then decided we’d rather listen to their sideline reporters blather on about the win while this play has happening behind them. All of a sudden “it’s
