Audi/VW fans are a special kind of masochist. They know their car is a hilariously unreliable money sink and genuinely don’t care about that fact and will continue to throw money at it.

I pulled that specific patent because it was the first one I found that was relevant to Alienware’s device. Nintendo has over a dozen patents covering different aspects of the Switch and Joy-Cons, a lot of which revolve around the way the Switch can be used in its many control configurations.
Let’s say Dell manages to get the overarching Patent I linked tossed out (that patent has been used and held up in court before), they are still in violation of the patents for the rails, the securing/release mechanism, the concept of being able to slide the individual controller segments into another item to build a…
The Razer was legal because it predates Nintendo getting the patent. Now that the patent exists you can’t make new products that violate the patent without getting approval from Nintendo which I doubt Alienware has.
It specifically describes a controller that attaches and detaches from the console with a sliding rail mechanism. The Alienware has exactly that. Just because Nintendo goes into a lot of detail about their specific mechanism doesn’t mean the basics aren’t covered by the patent.
Cool concept, never getting to market without a full redesign.
The difference now is that Nintendo has a patent on the concept of a tablet system with controllers that can either be attached to a system or removed and used to form a separate controller. This thing is not surviving the inevitable lawsuit from Nintendo in it’s current form factor.
Bought my first ever brand new car.
You are forgetting that a Model 3 doesn’t come with $7,500 in tax credits anymore. The Mini does.
Did you learn NOTHING from the Wii U?!?!?!?! Xbox Series X sounds like a special edition, not a new console, especially when they are already selling the Xbox One X.
New gaming rig was put together this week so it’s a combination of Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, COD, and Halo: Reach. Funny how things never change, 10 years ago I was wasting weekends with Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Borderlands and here I am still wasting weekends with Halo, CoD and Borderlands.
Subaru doesn’t have the engineering experience, technology, or budget to develop a competitive electric powertrain. The engineering skill set needed to develop electric powertrains is completely different to the skill set for gas powertrains. If a company wants to make the step into electric cars and be competitive…
NP, gib to Squirrel.
Ford sells a lot of cars in Europe because they have an entire European arm of the company dedicated to designing cars for sale in Europe. We actually get more of these Ford Europe designed cars here in the States than Europe gets Ford America cars.
It also looks like they extended the ducktail. Ditch the ducktail and narrow the wing so it actually fits on the trunk and it would look pretty good.
I find they are perfect for bottles of water or soda.
And don’t forget the cup holders in the doors.
Couple objections: 1) There are plenty of cupholders in a BRZ/GT86. There’s one in each of the front doors and then 2 in the center console that are actually adjustable and removable. 2) You sit so low in a BRZ/GT86 that those HVAC controls are at exactly the right height relative to your arm for easy access. Think…
There is so much of this car that is well thought out like that. The engineer in me loves it.
Yes. One of the small details I love about my Corolla Hatch is that every window switch in the car is auto-down and auto-up. It’s not just the switches on the drivers door for the drivers window or even for both front windows, its all 4 switches on the drivers door, and the switch on the other 3 doors. It’s tied with…
