“You have to understand in the current social climate we’re in, when you fly a Confederate flag standing in front of several African American people, that’s going to cause a disturbance, whether you intended to or not.”

Actually it is. It is constitutionally protected speech. I don’t like Greene or his “protest” but what the police did was a violation of his free speech rights.
I’ve written this a few places, but it does need stating: technically what the police did was unconstitutional. As destable as Greene’s flag was, stopping his protest and taking his flag does violate his right to free speech.
Just to point out though, his constitutionally protected rights were also violated. He had every right to fly that flag (as destable as it was), and the police removed him.
Still kind of disturbing though. This is protected speech under the constitution, and the police were removing it. Also striking: by removing him because of the presense of black people, the police are essentially saying “black people can’t control themselves” when they see a Confederate flag. Which is bullshit.
This. Also, Hilary is going to be one the least powerful President’s ever precisely BECAUSE we don’t understand the process, and Democrats have ignored it. Our slate down ballot is so weak this year that even with the utter behemoth dumpster fire that is Trump, our chances of taking the Senate aren’t great.
How will they not be impacted? Because foreign policy, healthcare, education don’t affect them?
How do you think she won’t be affected? Because healthcare doesn’t apply to white people? Because foreign policy and the economy doesn’t affect white people?
Post photo is huge. But that is ok (unless you are on Mobile, then hey! tomorrow is a new month so if you haven’t already blown your data cap you are fine!)
NAILED. IT.
I agree with that Clinton isn’t as bad as Trump. Its fairly obvious and there really isn’t anything to say against that. But if any other Republican was running, do you think the Democrats would be looking good at all this year? Again still voting Hilary (because Trump), but lets recite the past few months:
That was the first “OMFG WTF??” moment for me. I mean it wasn’t great before, but then why?????
Still, I would advise white producers against using brown cultures as inspiration for their most fucked-up town and then speaking proudly of it. But that’s just me!!!
Why, exactly, should they be? Women make lists like this all the damn time. It’s not even private information.
Not really. Plenty of women out there doing evil shit, just different kinds of evil shit. Not to mention that the harshest critics of womens bodies tend to be women themselves: magazines like Cosmo and outlets like HuffPo are almost entirely written by women, and even edited and owned by women.
You know, lots of people hand wring about Trump being too scummy to be a real contender for the President. And they are absolutely right. But how low is the bar, then, that Hilary Clinton seems like a saint by comparison?
Makes sense. I love her, but she has never held elected office and she also would have to deal with everything Hilary has, PLUS her blackness.
I’m struggling here but I desperately want to make a joke that is like “I eat tree food all the time” and then after some discussion I point to the apple tree in my parent’s backyard.
This video wasn’t social commentary though. And what is more, Beyonce herself approved it and put it out on Tidal. Who owns this art more, Beyonce or you?
Is it really hard to admit you people have nothing to stand on? Beyonce approved Schumer’s video. She owns this art more than anyone else.
