Why should we sit around and argue about how we are going to die
Not spending time with holocaust deniers is generally the best choice.
This whole thing reads like reflexive old guy bitching: low on self-awareness and context, high on criticism for absolutely everything. Which makes sense, because Townshend is 74.
But “They never, ever managed to create bands for themselves” is kinda hilarious as a criticism. Like his obituary is going to read “Pete…
I just felt like something was off about the delivery of the jokes. Classic MST3K had this slacker vibe to it, and the jokes were delivered in a mostly casual, offhand manner, dry and effortless-seeming.
It’s just not the same without Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy’s writing.
It just didn't work, I feel like everyone kept talking over each other or just kept talking. There was rarely ever a pause and that hurt the comedy.
“I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with core elements of the band’s sound that all the fans loved so much.”
Maybe he was just being a shitty human being as research for a book he's writing.
Townshend has always been, and always will be, a miserable SOB. His bitterness about everything and everyone has always come through. To be fair, marketing stadia is an uphill battle.
They also made two Lemon party jokes
I’m still surprised 30 Rock managed to make that joke on network TV.
That same executive also said, “I don’t like ‘Tubman’ it sounds like a dude. Let’s change it to ‘Tubgirl.”
This is funny in that the Volt was meant to leapfrog the Prius (it took too long, ended up too expensive, and kinda weird and impractical with no middle seat in the back because of the really strange battery solution) but it’s that I wasn’t talking about the Volt but the Bolt, which is all-too-easy to confuse because…
I think you could argue that the only reason Trump hasn't had worse foreign policy is because he has been focused so thoroughly on his awful domestic policies designed to destroy women and minorities here at home.
