You weren’t “forced” to buy the phone, you made a decision like a sheep and had to follow their rules and procedures....don’t like them that much....make the choice to NOT buy one of their products....instead all you did was reaffirm for them that their new method works because you still handed over your money....

I lived in Alberta for several years - can confirm there’s no rats :)

I was in New Zealand a few month ago and heard several comments about how when driving the general rule is, that if you see an animal (cat, rodent, possum, etc) crossing the road, and it’s safe to do so, then run over that animal and kill it to help save a bird....and the sheer amount of roadkill everywhere 100%…

And soon I won't even be able to take change onto planes for fear of it being used as a weapon.....

Most of the population there isn't reasonable....it's similar to bible thumping southern/central, super conservative and religious USA.....attempting any semblance of a reasonable conversation often falls on deaf ears....

You mean that only happened once?! You got off lucky...stuff like that was common place when I was there 10 ish years ago, right in the boom....I was also working as an addictions counsellor.....it was an interesting few years....beautiful place....some pretty questionable people....
