Edit: Somehow responded to the wrong person.

This comic/meme but it’s solid snake and kotaku poster Arden’s ass.

$6 per skin seems like a bargain in my eyes

It’s definitely the ready player one of video games.

10 years ago it would have been $2. And it’s still a full priced game with multiple tiers of “deluxe edition” and with peer to peer matchmaking, so they can’t even use “but the server costs!!” as an excuse.

tbh I’m not convinced a few of the latest class of kotaku writer are even real.

This post brought to you by bungie?

But other games still can be saved from becoming IP sandboxes

I mean, it didn’t. It came out like a wet fart and was forgotten about within a month. Probably because it was just “collect 20 X” over and over again, from start to finish, with a kind of generic plot wrapping it all in a bow.

It’s a marketing vehicle with pay to play nominations in any category not explicitly designed for indie games. So no.

I’ll bite, what’s the stereotype?

Because... *checks notes* they won’t let you orange justice on your phone? Am I reading between the lines correctly?

Was expecting gamefaqs tbh

Microsoft literally described Starfield as one of the most important RPGs ever made, and then it barely even made the list of nominees.

Not sure if you fit in there, I’m sure you’ll tell my why you don’t.

You’d have to actually be insane to nominate starfield for game of the year, even if it didn’t have so much fierce competition this year, so I’m not seeing the issue. Even “Best RPG” is a stretch, but there weren’t exactly dozens of high profile RPGs this year, so you’ve got to fill out the list somehow.

And ultimately this goes back to personal responsibility, which is at the heart of any addiction.

One piece fan spotted? I assume you meant Prospero and not this guy?

When NFT/crypto bros stop being the photo next to the dictionary definition of moron.
