Fyi, Chritter was stripped of his moderator duties at Groupthink a year or so (?) ago, and it was very ugly. Anyone who wants more information could probably go there and get a link to the owner’s note regarding the de-modding. I don’t believe he was banned as a commenter, but he chose to view it as such.

I’m not so sure. That sign-holding protester with the picture of a man peeing on a woman from over a barrier has a point. I am SO TIRED of that happening to me.

A simple solution: Appoint an independent counsel to investigate the problems at Baylor. I nominate William Jefferson Clinton.

My guess is the NCAA comes in with a tough penalty that is legally flawed and based on a completely incorrect set of facts. Baylor appeals and the NCAA drops the penalty down to something minor. Baylor gets its program back, the NCAA claims it tried, and then this is repeated for the next schools that get caught.

I don’t think we should insult people for carefully thought out opinion pieces that slightly differ from our own opinions. This is a complex issue.
