I’m kinda in a weird position of being an anti-fan of some of the more popular prestige shows out there right now (Succession is so fucking mid you guys, I truly don’t understand why you all like it so much. Also, they should maybe hire someone to write them more than one single piece of music) - but Severance and

Starred just for that “fish in water” line.  High-five your friend for me, that’s solid.

I’ve only seen the trailer thus far, but it certainly seems like her direction began and ended with “be Christina Ricci”.  And I don’t think that particular performance makes sense to put in the lead role, let alone stretch to an entire series.  I was looking forward to this series, so it’s disappointing, but not

The show’s premise is broken from the start. So you’re putting Wednesday Addams in a school that is itself creepy and kooky and weird? Uh, where’s the tension there?  Wednesday is only funny when she’s fucking with the squares.

I’m sorry to Ortega—I’m sure she’s lovely as a person. But she is one of the most lackluster performers in recent memory. Like, almost infuriatingly so.

OK so no inter species marriage allowed!

In that respect, literally anyone Mitch McConnell would’ve married would at least be an interspecies marriage.

Pretty sure he has at least 50% turtle in there as well.

Nah, he's a turtle.

Race is a biological reality. A perp’s race can be determined through DNA left behind at a crime scene. Adjustments based on race must be made for certain medical treatments.

Oh gosh.

This film, like the first film, is important for its representation of Black Superheroes. But, like the first film, it is massively overrated. Both films are fine, but the first one had no business being nominated for Best Picture and this new one is just another Marvel movie and in no way any better or worse than

I agree with your assessment of its appeal to younger generations. I’m a millennial who watched it for the first time during the 1st or 2nd year of the 24 hour marathon on TBS and immediately fell in love. I realized later that I loved it because it’s a Christmas movie that does not traffic in “Christmas spirit”

Then again, mothers often become completely different people when they become grandmothers

I believe its appeal comes from the fact that it’s a great “background movie.” There really isn’t a plot, more just loosely threaded together vignettes, so a lot of people throw it on during holiday celebrations. You can tune in for 15 minutes, walk away, come back, etc. I honestly don’t think I’ve watched it cover to

Gross. Just fucking adapt more Jean Shepherd stories and use the hundreds of hours of recordings of him for narration.

As a four-time mental illness winner, whose life has fallen apart countless times, I can honestly say: who fucking cares?

Careful, you’re venturing into nuanced thoughtfulness territory. This is the internet, we need all things reduced down to two distinct, opposing sides, like sports teams.

Unless they have on-board emergency power, or unless your utility is capable of avoiding any and all outages, I’m just not a fan. Let’s not forget the people who are forever running their phones down. There are analog solutions that will meet the needs of most homeowners or home renters - push-button combination

and if you work in a trade that leaves your sweaty fingers dirty and cracked, unresponsive touch screens become an unavoidable nuisance
