“Those days are dead (forgive me)
Those days are dead (forgive me)
Those days are dead (forgive me)
We need vices at fifteen... years old.”

Yep. Checks out.

No, see, the age of consent in Trump’s America (as it’s always been) is puberty. Age ain’t nothin’ but a number down in MAGA country, fella.

That was my takeaway, as well. 29% of those polled, which is.... a lot... are perfectly willing to admit that they see pedophilia as a mark in the plus column.

This is easily my favorite reply this week.

Yea, I get you on education. But I was driving at the fact that our government is so incompetent not because of funding, or lack thereof, but because it’s habitually staffed with incompetents. And to a much greater extent this past year. The federal government can’t be effective if it’s filled with confrontational

I think the federal government can do a lot of good if properly funded and, more importantly, properly staffed. Not with more bodies, but more competent bodies. I think giving states more power over things like educating would just result in half of our country becoming voluntarily illiterate within two generations.

The argument this article is making is the age old “you gotta spend money to make money” with a “as long as we’re all making money” twist.

I miss Aljazeera America. :[

Yessss. If not for Rafi’s spot on submission I’d be with you 100%.

Holy shit, Rafi. My man! You’ve got my vote. I could not think of a better song if I, like you, were getting paid to.

Yea. Some News, I think, is my new favorite thing since After Hours. They publish a new one every Saturday.

Almost... too good.

The NRA doesn’t represent gun owners as a whole. They never have, even way, way back in the days when they were gun control advocates. No, the NRA represents guns as a whole. And voting for candidates who are less beholden to the NRA has always proven less effective than the NRA’s ability to influence candidates, on

This is... kinda great. You know, in a guilty sorta way.

Yes and no, but mostly no. For reasons.

And they never will. At least not as long as the NRA exists.
