Oh yes....I would say go for it! :D
That’d be tempting to pick up a second one but one project is probably enough. I know when I have bought too many cheap projects in the past I get overwhelmed, spend too much on parts and then they tend to sit. Hopefully you’re better motivated. Read more
I inherited a craftsman riding mower from my mom. She got a deal on it because the engine wouldn’t run. She took a small engines class and this was her project. It runs great, although I had to replace the starter a few months ago.
once your happy its running fine
need to do a video with sounds once its done.
Needs more carb trumpet--looks nice, I improvised some carb linkage on one of my cars a few years back. Not difficult, but fiddly is exactly how I would describe the work, I basically has to flip a bellcrank then reposition and adjust the attached linkage. A cable seems a lot simpler.

Mover of people and stuff. Back in my youths I’d regularly sleep in the back while going on trips in my buddy’s parents Suburban.... Until we went off the road on the way home from ski trip. Much bruising that afternoon. Great buy!
Still a great purchase!
Impossible to avoid damage on the drivers seat rightly didn’t factor in. Congrats and hope the engine transfer pays dividends as well.
