I am not disagreeing that an impact driver isn’t the correct tool, but could the same job be accomplished with a hammer drill? My understanding is that both systems use concussive striking... so, if someone used a hammer drill to drive screws, and the screw hit some resistance, wouldn’t the hammer function take over…
