don’t see what the buzz is all about

If Elon had to build tunnels the size of what was needed for the Second Avenue subway or the Silver Line in a dense urban area the costs would have been around the same.  Building a sewer tunnel in a suburb of LA does not count.

To improve the efficiency you could use some sort of electric bus. Chain them together to increase capacity. Also recharging as they drive through the tunnel would be handy.

What’s not to understand? It’s a less efficient subway system that requires you to provide your own expensive-ass car which must be painstakingly retrofitted with training wheels, travels slower than freeway traffic on the surface, has limited destinations, and allows you to experience the existential thrill of what

Saw one of these on the freeway recently. Most of the internet pics don’t do this thing justice, it is huge.

I’m sure his trade war with China and the higher steel prices that have resulted from the tariffs, haven’t helped things at all.

This is a prime example of early mussel car.

yes.  A bulldozer.

Sounds like some of these are lemons.

When pigs fly.

Wait and see if they can keep the same sales when the federal tax credits phase out?

Pressing the clutch pedal in with your left foot, while simultaneously moving a gear lever with your right/left hand is the only description of a manual transmission that I will accept.
