I agree that trucks are getting more expensive, but looking at ATP is crazy. Looking at base price is better. Though still not apples-to-apples on features/performance, at least it’s the price you can pay for a truck if you don’t need all the things this article complains inflates the price of trucks.

This kind of proves that his board is a joke. The SEC forcing them to add two new directors to strengthen the board just a little bit seems like forcing your kid to eat his broccoli.

This one confuses me. Why would they not be prepared to deliver cars they built? Did they accidentally build more cars than the meant to? Did they expect the cars to drive themselves to customers?

The warranty system will show that the warranty ends at 36,268. It's part of the OEM records, your paperwork, and the warranty system. Otherwise customer protection agencies would have a fit even for cars that start with fewer miles.

It kind of seems like he’s been making “bold” statements that don’t come true and twisting the truth for years. The burden of proof is it has to be blatantly false when you make the statement.  It seems he’s finally so far across that line that someone is willing to prosecute, but he’s been walking that line for

Tesla is the poster child of getting things done on time.  This should definitely make things faster.

I clicked on this assuming it was going to be some sort of Onion-esque story from Torch ...

In michigan you can transfer your plate if you are trading in a car. Don't know about new jersey, but if you don't either I would hold off on drawing conclusions.

It kind of sounds like the Saudis might not have even realized there was any sort of agreement. There certainly doesn’t seem to be enough specifics worked out to call anything “secured.”

I believe the details you’re looking for are that Porsche left a message on a GT3 for the Honda engineers working on the NSX.

Neutral:

It’s Canada, so maybe all the cars were covered in snow?  Or hockey pucks?

Elon is so excited about the Model 3 he’s pitching a tent.

Actually my point relative to Toyota was that I can understand why Tesla needs more space to make fewer vehicles; their assembly strategy is different. Not sure what you’re so pissed about.

There is certainly a different level of vertical integration at Tesla vs. a Toyota LEAN strategy. However, I would have hoped they had a manufacturing layout to achieve their production goals shortly after they set them. They should have had more than enough time to build some walls unless they’re just figuring it out

His growing ego is the real reason for the tent.

Separately from the whole tent part of it, why are they using three separate assembly lines for one vehicle? Generally you would just have a single, longer (shorter takt times) assembly line to reach a higher line rate, right? Eventually you might max out, but that’s probably closer to 8k per week, not 2k.

It makes the owner happy. That’s the reason, I can’t force you to think it’s a good one. Many things that bring other people pleasure inconvenience me too, but I don’t need to whine about it. If as a society we think it’s an undue burden, we should regulate it. But that regulation should probably be size or emissions,

None of these things are true of me, but I hope people who drive whatever car you drive aren’t all jackasses.

You don’t need to live there :). J/k, there’s always exceptions. But if only people who needed wranglers bought them I’m sure jeep would have gone bankrupt decades ago.
