That one guy who says stuff

Very few people, including most jalopnik.com writers and readers, buy the vehicle they need. They buy the vehicle they want to and can (sometimes) afford. Nobody needs a BMW, Tesla, sports car, Jeep, roadster or any other car any of us would like to own. They all need a camry or a Grand Caravan. Or really just a bus

Probably technically true. It was designed as a Saturn Vue, and then all of a sudden Saturn didn’t exist, but the tooling still did. So I believe that the “design” phase of the Chevy Captiva was not far from “Well, I guess let’s put a bow tie on it, right? Any other changes? No? OK, program approved.”

As a single guy, my proximity key was a minor convenience, particularly not having to dig through my bag/pockets in winter.

I’m not going to claim there aren’t problems with how the company was run in the past (or present). There clearly were some bad decisions made based on poor/optimistic assumptions.

Every new car has a screen because they’ve been planning for this requirement. Nobody wants to re-design their instrument panel because they didn’t think ahead two years, so everyone added it whenever it was most convenient (i.e. at the most recent redesign).

If that’s not at least one of your goals, you’ll starve.

GMO-Free!

Also in the height of all the naming maddness, they changed the name from something with market recognition to “Five-Hundred.” It took them three years to figure out that was a dumb idea.

I also like to wait until people have things almost figure out before I swoop in and take control/credit.

I can’t wait for the Flex RS.

LOL, so many problems with your comment! Yeah, I guess I am so poor that I’m not going to tip $20 on a $20 meal (remember, this is just on my portion of the tab) for any reason other than I really want to. Please send me a big pile of $20 bills from your never ending supply so I can stop being so embarrassed of myself.

I don’t think I understand how me getting cash from the ATM makes your job any easier if I still want to pay separately. I’m not going to round up to the nearest $20 and I bet you’d prefer I didn’t round down. You’ll still need to calculate how much I owe and then count change instead of swiping a card.

When it starts to get this complicated I usually give the waiter/waitress the option to just split the total dollar amount evenly between guests. Sure, this isn’t “fair” to guests that drank less or ordered cheaper dishes, but it’s less stressful.

This is disappointing. I actually like having access to movies I wouldn’t normally watch and while I wouldn’t call the selection good, I found the opportunity to re-watch Office Space on my last flight. Not everyone, especially vacationers, owns a personal laptop or tablet or wants to take one on vacation. Think

If you were doing this, you wouldn’t be married. Chicken and the egg.

Taco Tuesday is mandatory for Autonomous Bolt passengers. The vehicle was simply waiting for the passengers to acquire tacos per this requirement before proceeding.

Interesting point. I wonder how many are like you in the sense that they wouldn’t even buy one right now if Tesla put one in their driveway.

What’s the best way to check out the inventory for this? I’m not having luck at chevy.com... I don’t think there are any particularly close to me. Do I just go to a local dealer?

My car is easy to find because it is always where ever I parked it last.

Internal goals set high as motivation is a management technique. External forecasts (forecasts are different than goals) set too high is (unintentional? who knows) market manipulation.
