It’s unclear (or at least people can’t agree on) which move is better for Britain. Everyone has their opinions, but nobody went through the process of defining a Brexit plan, so nobody knows what it means, good or bad. Basically they voted to climb on a mystery vacation bus. They may end up in a slightly nicer part of…
Things like supply chains, tooling, and buildings will keep production in the UK for at least the short term. Nothing changes immediately and nobody really knows what will (yet they voted for it anyway... change something! I don’t care what!).
I wonder how much freight stays within a fixed distance of expressways. I would guess a lot, since that allows quicker transport.
Yeah ... I don’t think that’s right... it’s probably closer to 4k. (source: wikipedia)
He tried to be boulder in his driving, but his talent ran out. Now he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place (the insurance co).
Manufactures are concerned about many things picking a production site. It also takes a lot for them to leave one (suppliers are in place, land and buildings are paid for). That being said, wages and tariffs are two places where the UK will now be more expensive than other places in Europe. This will certainly make it…
Or for non-lead cars, or cars that end up exploding instead of getting damage that needs to be CGI’d.
True, it wouldn’t work for every car in every scene, but on the other hand it often seems like they try to minimize the appearance of damage by replacing cars that get dented in a stunt with fresh samples.
I would think this would translate even better to movie cars, where you can now have rare/expensive/completely-fictional cars without destroying the original. Many times a movie car is a bit of a fiction anyway, so why not make it even more flexible.
Even worse is the GIF... that thing made me sea-sick.
How long was it on the bottom of a lake?
Seems closer to priceline or whatever than straight up haggling.
That’s not just any cop in a bomb suit, that’s Stig’s law enforcement cousin - Swat Stig.
I don’t always dance, but when I do, I prefer wearing a bomb suit.
According to the linked article (and someone who apparently daily drives a dragon ... so you know you can trust them), the cyclist’s son is a cop.
Yeah, I recently saw the family connection of the cyclist. That was one of the options I threw out there that could explain everything.
Or his son went crazy hearing about the incident and decided to use his position to “avenge” his father ... or whatever.
Nice catch, that could be the missing piece that makes this all make sense (though it doesn’t make it right or fair).
It’s not a good excuse for action, and it also doesn’t eliminate the possibility that, with no other instigation, the cops came back around and decided they wanted to impound cars they didn’t impound earlier.
