I like to imagine them all filing in through the dugouts since that’s the only way onto the field. So they had to leave the communal stands to go through the dugouts and meet up again and start fighting.

Fair enough. A little bit of nuance is probably necessary for this kind of thing. But given the examples in the article and the differences between “medical treatment” and “injury rehab,” I’d still say it’s an easy issue to recognize on a general scale.
