I think this is good. The creepiest thing about gaming is that it’s basically a culture of violence worship with almost no tolerance for sex. Mario can’t even play tennis any more without fps mechanics. That’s how sadly and ridiculously violence oriented it is up in here. I mean, seriously, it’s messed up.

Is this not active moderation? The Steam marketplace is enormous and it would be unrealistic for Valve to conjure resources to manage every aspect of it. Consumers are able to be responsible enough to moderate content among themselves. Furthermore, consumers inherently have the ability to moderate content on a

Why *should* it be Valve’s responsibility to decide what people are not allowed to play?

the school shooting game is one of the ones that would fall under the “straight up trolling” category and would still get removed.

This is just another example of Valve punting away all responsibility.

This is actually good news. I hate how games where I kill brown people in sandy areas are always ok, but once you move the killing to some place that looks like America I am supposed to be outraged.

That would probably fall under “straight up trolling.”

I managed to figure out the ending hours before I finished it and had a very hard time finishing it. My god, what a terrible ending. It basically says the end of the world happened because you had the audacity to stand up to the murderous cult leader. It’s like the writers pulled the rug out from under me and said he

Maybe their Vietnam story arc will end with nuclear explosions and then everyone died the end

I feel like the Far Cry series has been milked dead... they haven’t really gotten the formula to feel fresh since FC3. Ever since then it’s felt like the same game, with the same things to do — just a different skin each time.

I don’t watch Rick&Morty so I don’t understand what you just said.

You’re such a Jerry.

I finally finished it over the weekend and holy shit what a bad ending. Same folks will tell me I can’t watch Rick&Morty because I don’t “get it”.

At least if they drop the ball in the DLC it might shut up that group of FC5 fans still claiming it’s some post-modern masterpiece with its totally not botched ending...

It would have been cool if they populated the map with Vietnamese villagers who needed help. If you helped them, you could change the perception of said villagers about you and your fellow Americans... but doing so would also mean villagers may tell your enemies about your presence, leading to more enemies appearing

Yes how dare I not give bigots like you a platform or report bigots to the moderators for your violation of the TOS.

I agree. I also think the only semi worthwhile character in Detroit was Connor. I still enjoyed Heavy Rain, Beyond and Detroit, despite their flaws, but it would be nice to have more nuanced writing where the female characters always get thins sort of treatment. I don’t think Cage is capable of that at this point.

Women are not people in David Cage games

I agree but also would say I personally feel all of his games largely feature a re-occurring pattern across the board. They’re all very similar and I can’t ever find them fun to experience at all (from a narrative stand point or from a gameplay experience standpoint).

It’s bad writing 101.
