@JadoJodo: Not so much, it's so-so fun. Reading Lifehacker? That's the one.

I love this program, but be careful updating, it doesn't save your previous data. (At least the portable version doesn't)

VOTE: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

VOTE: FastStone Capture (free)

@MPGraber: Wordperfect 4.2 ran on one 720k floppy, one more for the spell check. Almost all the features of 5.1. But I learned on Wordstar too. Anybody remember Volkswriter? Coolbeans. One top menu, 48 commands with F-keys.

Be cool if it were portable, but I guess Java kills that.

@versatileninja: +1 Read It Later. With Foxmarks, excuse me, Xmarks, it goes with me to every computer.

When discussing Ubuntu, should mention Xubuntu and Kubuntu.

@Deprong Mori: If you include Gandalf you must include "Friend." In Elvish.

@cearner: Used to use that one regularly, but then something happened. Caused a hang, maybe?

@operator207: Keeps me safe when I try to juggle balls, but I can't, I'm stuck with chainsaws.

There is (or was) an extension for Firefox called Paragrasp that highlighted a paragraph in pale yellow, and then you could use the arrow key to scroll down. The paragraph that you were reading stayed in the centre of the screen. Quite useful, I found.

@GilroyMu: Absobloominlutely. Also good for tax day.

I have The Guide, also TreeDBNotes. I do, however, miss an old, buggy, abandonware tree file named Skwyrul Pro. One of it's neat features was the ability to email anyone of the notes right from the program. I also loved the icons, for some reason. It didn't have true tabs, it only allowed two at a time. I do wish

I'm from Saskatchewan, with Central Standard time all year. (We're the centre, and we're the standard, and we're not changing, dammit!)

If this was portable it would rock.

Lee Valley sells a version.

"Most any"? Please, please, ALMOST any. Likewise, (although you're not guilty here, I'm just ranting) eliminate "most everyone." /rant off

Congrats! Anybody with How To in their name is welcome by me!
