If you grew up with recirc bal steering it wasn’t an issue. Everyone is just spoiled by rack and pinions. Grow some muscles and love your RX7.

SA is the best 1st gen RX7. Mine on a mountain top in NC at DGRR.
I knew it was a David Tracy story when I saw the lead picture of some nasty, old, corroded transmission case.
Don’t let Tracy know about this.
Mine barely uses 1/2 quart in 3000 miles, on par with what the owners manual says. You must have had a really clapped out motor in that FC to use that much oil.
Troll much?
Isn’t this a repeat? I swear I read about this before on here.
RX7 FTW! Only 2 seats although I did fit 2 girls in it one time.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t hear any special noises made by those buses in the video. All I heard was traffic and tire noise, thats it.
Honda hype, tired of it.
The NSU of course!
Where was this? We need more videos and more trucks please.
Love it except for the weird wing thing in the backend. From the front the whole thing looks great.
I drive all my cars constantly. Just got back from a 4 day mountain adventure in my RX7, probably clocked about 1000 miles or more on that. Just got 2 loads of mulch in the F150, because truck and thats what its used for.
Every model car has these weird, strange quirks from year to year. Only the truly obsessed notice or comment on these. How I can tell you tales of the differences between a 79 and 80 RX7 or better yet an 80 and 81-85 RX7.
Pulled from the greys for the pics.
These were a definite step up from a Pinto in the US. Sold by Mercury. Not the fastest from the factory but easy to hop up. Not sure we ever got the 6, I think I only saw 4s here.
Yes
Only use car washes for cars you don’t care about. I care about all my cars and wash them myself, even the F150. Too easy to get damage by the brushes and machinery plus what they to do your paint.
Thats good to hear, cause I really was wondering about him from just this story. I’ve known folks that build crap like this over and over and they keep blowing up their engines anyway. Its hard to be sympathetic on the 4 or 5th sob story of “I blew my engine ...” when I hear it.
