Sounds like a lot of fun and very similar to driving my 1980 Rx7. There is no room for mistakes with that either. A bit more torque and hp in the 911 but back in the day Rx7s did ok against them.
You must have n FD. My SA with the always dependable 12A was at one time the only car that was drivable because the BMW blew its coolant and the Explorer popped a brake line.
