I have been cruising through the game on a firewall sorc, currently 56 and managing to clear content solo well above my level. I suggest looking up some builds and seeing what works and why. Based on what I’m seeing druids are in a pretty good place ATM (defo better than sorc, at least).

My guess is the former.

The presentation is what kinda sets it apart.

yes. legendary shiny hunting is done in a similar way (save before, start battle, reset).

on the flipside - you see ‘concerned ape’ everytime you boot up stardew valley - and from the trailer, this looks like more stardew valley, which frankly, excites the hell out of me.

Moving from an MMORPG to an Action RPG is a pretty big difference

Also a different business model to some degree - not that I really support star citizen - but a better example would be minecraft - which started out as a discounted beta, and used the revenue of the beta to increment and improve the game.

The big one in my mind is that if EA decides the well is dry and shuts off the servers tomorrow... what happens to your kinder egg?

yeah, and I wonder how much of the money spent for said airtime would end up in the streamer’s pocket. The amount of revenue ads generate for the content creator in some situations can be stupid low.

I like it for navigating my HTPC. the left-click right-click on the triggers works good and it works good for point-and-click type games like strategy games. Also solid for emulators and a few other games.

FF XIV’s story is legit, though.

Like others said below, it actually looks like it’s more a way to circumvent steam’s approval process.

I am guessing what they are doing is avoiding having to pay steam to list their new game.

This stuck out to me:

I haven’t been able to get the download to start at all. then I discovered my windows updates have been busted for like a year with the same issue - stuck at 0%.

XKCD did it first

Also kind of suffers from some of the same level design issues that FF 13 did.

Translation: Google takes a cut out of our DLC revenue

looks that way

The optimist in me believes (particularly in countries with universal healthcare) that the deciding factor in rationing will more likely be family situation (i.e. do you have financial dependents who could be at risk of further burdening the system if you do not get treated and die v. having no dependents.)
