I wonder if keeping my travel credit card is a good way to continue support for my favorite airline, Southwest. Not proposing donating money to the airline industry, but using my SW Chase rewards card might be a good way to continue showing support in what has to be a very rough time for the airlines. I am really

There’s no reason to go completely cold turkey. Most people use Chase as their rewards card. You can hold both a Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Freedom Unlimited card at the same time, which will allow you to transfer points between them to use Cash Back or Travel rewards interchangeably. Not to mention the

My work is me traveling. Their work cleaning hotel rooms. If I left a $10 tip every night I stayed in a hotel it would seriously be over $40 dollars a week on average. Over $1600 a year in hotel tips in my case. Get real.

One guy said he wanted to get a new car because his current one needed tires and brakes...

But those are iconic because of the car itself, not the name. Plenty of examples of iconic real car names: Corvette, Mustang, Supra, Countach, Bora, Interceptor,...

And that's a light schedule compared to what Kenny Albert has had in recent years

Hi, is there a “TL;DR” version of this piece? I did read it, but I’m not really sure what this article is about.

I said almost exactly that yesterday to someone when they asked who I was rooting for. And as a Cubs fan who used to attend games in Houston, I can’t help but roll my eyes at the fervor of Astros fans now. Even when they had Clemens and Pettitte the Cubs fans would still fill up the stands in that ridiculous stadium.

The weird swipes at Bryce are a bad look for us man. I don’t exactly miss him, but he was unquestionably a big part of making the Nats the team they’ve become over the last 7 years. We all cheered our assess off for him since he came up, and I don’t know many people that didn’t love watching him when he was rolling.

I like Zim as much as the next Bethesda resident, and would be happy to see him win a ring, but...he amassed -0.2 WAR in 51 games. His absence wasn’t holding the team back.

Delighted with this.. as a Cubs fan I’m inclined to root for any NL team in the WS (with the obvious exception) and the Astros recent shitbaggery makes it all the sweeter. And I always enjoyed Fernando Rodney for his whole 12 IP ERA 0.75 for the Cubs back in 2015. Even though we didn’t get a bow and arrow.

What an incredibly stupid decision. This is the closing of the window for sure.

RIP in peace

So you want to invest in real estate that won’t make much money?

I’d take a 100% perpetual payroll tax cut in exchange for giving up 100% of my future SS/Medicare benefits. That sort of cut does not create a future liability.

I wish government made social security optional. It’s a scam anyways, I think I could grow that money overtime better than “putting” it somewhere for when I retire.

If the proper amount of money is withheld from your paycheck for taxes you don’t have to pay at the end of the year. If you end up paying at the end it’s both your employers (or whomever they contract to for payroll) and yours for not following up with your paycheck to make sure the correct amount is coming out.

Please don’t invest in art. It’s all about who’s popular at the moment and what kind of interest you’ll get in the future. Sure, there are times you can make money but its just like Crypto or Beanie Babies, all fad no substance. Watch that Netflix movie Velvet Buzzsaw to get a glimpse of their world. It’s all bogus.

Before I read this article the thought of leaving a tip for a hotel staff person cleaning my room NEVER even entered my mind. Well, now it is stuck up there, but I still will not be tipping. The cost of the room includes this service. This is simple economics. An employer pays an employee per room, and assigns that

It's true. Doesn't mean those of us more responsible can't take advantage of it, though.
