It depends on the exact function but in most cases no, they aren't needed.

After uninstalling though, you may need to download the "Driver Only" version of things from their driver website though. Typically they just include crapware with their drivers that provides redundant functionality. Take for example HP

You're both absolutely right. This article was about the people who don't train as vigorously as they should before a marathon. I come from a family of marathon runners and I know they don't feel as bad as I did after a race because they train so compulsively.

You make an excellent point. This article was about the Pamela Anderson's of the world who presumably don't train as hard as you do. In my experience, elite athletes know far more about what's going on inside their bodies than a doc like me ever will.

I totally agree with you. I know people who run 3000+ (holy fuckballs, by the way) miles per year and I'm assuming they're not straining their heart. I could be wrong, obviously, but if it's bad for them it seems like they would have some problems manifesting after doing it for months/years.

The part that you don't mention is that the folks who are properly trained to run a marathon, and who hydrate properly show almost none of these issues. Its the folks who try to run one with little to no training, or who's longest long run is in the 12 mile range who have a ton of problems.

This post ticked me off in many ways. The author ran as a bandit, most likely did not train aggressively, and cites examples of others who ran marathons "on a whim." That's just stupid, and then you're surprised about pissing blood and vomiting and feeling crappy? I've run 7 marathons. None of them super fast, all

You should have next to no savings while you still have high APR debt. Pay down those credit cards and then Student Loans before you try to save more than one weeks paycheck. Short term emergencies can go on credit cards and then they will be paid off ASAP.

That sounds like a perfectly valid reason to ignore good advice because you have a persecution complex over your financial frailty.

Cheating? Criminal Offense? Find the law being broken. If I have a .edu email address that I use to gain student discounts — those discounts do not necessarily state "Current Student Discounts". That means at any time, if I have been a student, and I have proof via .edu email — there's no fraud.
