My e39 M5 wasn’t that fast by todays standards, but was fast enough that the power became frustrating. I’m a firm believer that to really get a thrill out of a sports car you need to be pushing it a bit, and pushing the M5 meant I was in go-to-jail territory pretty quickly, which also meant I didn’t get to push it

This actually looks good, unlike the past several generations. Not as good as this, but evidently we can’t have really nice things anymore:

1970 was a great year for cars. As long as you like the faint whiff of burning motor oil and the knowledge that getting T-boned by a new Yaris could kill you. But yeah, I’ll take it.

1969 Jag:

I’d have to go with something German or Japanese (or maybe Swedish?) for the mid eighties. Not much from America was good back then.

Ok now I gotta think that the character of Tim Cramblin was at least a tribute to this guy, no? The show was so deep in Detroit lore, it can’t be a coincidence?

YEAH SURE....OKAY BOOMER

“Good Tires”, Bob mused, casually lighting a cigarette, “But certainly not great tires.”

I’ll give it 5 years before the internet disagrees with you because it hates change lol and the new S2000 comes out.

Or even more likely, say the bring 200 to the press box/event but only pass out 185 (better to have too many than not enough). The remaining 15 are useless (these are for a 1-time event) to them and they say to the people breaking shit down/cleaning/etc. hey if you want one of these grab it otherwise throw them away,

The airline situation is becoming a political litmus test and I don’t understand why. I don’t agree with conservatives but I have a lot of respect for many of them, and I consider this a most egregious hill to die on.

George Foreman wouldn’t have had a problem.

I think his comment should be prided.

This gets a recommend just based on the name of the submitter. Thumbs Up!

I don’t get it. Showing a cigarette is not advertising, because no brand is visible. No one in the history of smoking and advertising has ever advertised smoking. Advertising has always been done for brands and products, not for activities (except PSA-type advertising like “get more exercise”). Doctoring a Marlboro

Yep, in here (France) the website “l’automobile sportive” (sports car in english) was condemned because they posted pictures of schumacher with his malbo**** sponsor visible...
