Really? I've always thought that TAL was one of the most interesting shows on the air. Not terribly uplifting most of the time, but I've never thought of it as depressing.

I watched the youtube clip in a little screen and for some reason my eyes saw an R instead of a D in front of his name. I remember reading that 7 Republicans voted against the funding cut and assumed he was one of them and that he was poking fun at his party for their actions. After posting it, I realized Weiner was

Yeah, I misread it. My bad.

And moar Whad'ya Know?

A Republican who is too far left for the commentariat? Say it ain't so!

Can't believe nobody's posted this yet!

Yeah, I didn't really want to be a dick about it, but c'mon—people are calling 6000 lb behemoths "sports cars"?!?!?!?

You're probably right—the word "sports" should have been "sporty" (or deleted altogether).

So... respecting Jesus Christ during Lent - important.

"this is a massive luxobarge with gobs of space, four doors, and cabin tech to the gills. "

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick! I think I can count on one hand the number of actual sports cars that have been nominated today. Sorry, but an E55 is *not* a sports car. Neither is a Bentley Turbo R, an XJ Jag, or an Audi A8, a Mark VIII or a Phaeton. Anything with an automatic trans is not a sports car. Anything

Agreed. For whatever reason, people are equating acceleration and roadholding with "sports car." A sports car may accelerate quickly and it may grip the road tenaciously, but those aren't prerequisites. Sports cars are about balance, agility, and an unfiltered driving experience. I'm not quite such a

@stöke: My first reaction was that it didn't matter if he was stopped in traffic, that he'd be in violation of the Michigan texting-while-driving statute regardless. But then I went back and read it again:

Yeah, whatever the number, it's low, so the whole supply and demand thing has put the prices on NAS D110s into the stratosphere. And yeah, this one is much newer, but there's no guarantee the buyer will actually be able to import it and register it, so it's still mega-CP.

My suspicion is that the thing is going to run pretty fucking hot without a radiator.

"Digital editing's for fools. I'm too smart to do that."

I knew the numbers were low, but I didn't know they were that low. At this point, it seems like it'd make more sense to find a 25+ year old 110 and import it under the EPA classic car exemption, rather than pay the huge premium for an official LR import.

And again, if you believe that, I've got a great low-risk, high-yield investment scheme for you.

What you said. I'd love to get my hands on a 110 TDi, and I know that pretty much every Defender 110 I've ever seen in the US goes for big money, but this one is ridiculous even by those standards...
