And if you believe that, I've got a great deal on a bridge in Brooklyn and some prime real estate in the Florida Everglades.

You'll always answer the QOTD with the 205. I'll always answer the QOTD with the 240 Wagon.
Google Shalamar instead. You'll have a lot more fun.
I'm sure the driver of the Jeep just wanted to Scream after Arquette's Cadillac tore the Jeep's Face/Off.
I don't know, but I bet the seller was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them because that's how he rolls.
What everybody else said, although I think many of you who are saying it'd be a deal at XXXX price are still way high. $5K would be way at the top end of the market for something like this, and honestly, $3K-$4K is much more realistic. To get more than that, it'd have to be something more special... like a TDI,…
I agree that the first-gen CRX was also fun, but at 6'4", I was never able to get very comfortable in it. Never had that problem with the second-gen, though.
Sadly, it appears Jalopnik has its share, too. When I posted that comment, I had already seen a handful of suspect mileage claims in this thread (like the 42-mpg Mitsubishi Mirage that does 0-to-60 in 6.9 seconds). Since then, I have seen more (like the photo of the Corvette instrument cluster where it's showing a…
@headhot: I have owned a number of GTIs and never have done better than 28 mpg on a tankful when driven spiritedly. That was in an A1-chassis ('84 with the slightly taller 5th gear). I was able to get over 30 mpg in my 1.8T A4-chassis, but that was babying it on the highway, not having fun.
@batmansmechanic: You beat me to it. I suspect this is a thread that is going to elicit all kinds of outrageous mileage claims from commenters (you know—"My modded, 600-whp XXXXX got 50 mpg on a trip from Podunk to Provo"), and therefore will be meaningless. In reality, there are many cars that are fun to drive and…
A fun car capable of real-world (not fantasy, owner-inflated) 30+ mpg is a pretty rare thing. On the other hand, almost every motorcycle ever made can meet the "fun" and "30+ mpg" criteria. The best answer, therefore, is "just about anything with two wheels," but you asked about "automotive fun," implying four…
@west-coaster: This. Any modern (say, in the past 12 years or less) diesel is going to have electronic injection controls, and most will have drive-by-wire and immobilizer systems, too. Worst case, you'll need most of the donor vehicle's wiring harness, the ignition lock cylinder, immobilizer transponder coil,…
My comment about out-of-shape officers was "on a related note" and not directed toward these three officers specifically, who instead appeared to just be plain incompetent.
So this is an either/or, huh? Either I can:
So any time the cops don't have the opportunity to search a person who is not completely submissive, they have the right to tase him? Are you serious?
