I know many reviews have mentioned the rev hang but when I test drove an Si last summer I never even noticed it. My main complaint about shifting it was the gas pedal is tiny and not in a good position relative to the brake for heel-toeing. Enough people agree with my assessment that there are multiple different gas

“GTI is in a completely different category,” lol, you’ve drank so much Kool-Aid you’re drowning.

If it had a little more power it’d be more easily distinguished from the lower trims, but you do get a lot more than the other 1.5T trims. The motor has a bigger turbo and other tweaks, and it’s rather underrated, with good tuning potential. Plus the adaptive dampers, LSD, bigger brakes, and awesome seats.

Usually a manufacturer gives a car a shorter final drive ratio to improve off-the-line acceleration times. It’s cheaper/easier than creating a whole new gearset for the transmission.

Doing what you want when you want and public transit are not mutually exclusive.

It’s all well and good if you believe that Charleston is not a prime candidate for public transit expansion but whether you intended it or not you appeared to be using it as a jumping off point for a generalization.

So, what’s your conclusion? Each city is unique and therefore ____?

All the water around Charleston is precisely why it’s a terrible example to use when generalizing about American cities in general.

Because the sloping rooflines of SHITs (Swoopy Hatchbacktified crossovers for Image-conscious Trash) are more aesthetically pleasing to the people who buy them than practical normal 3-box CUV rooflines.

Remaining in F1 as a reserve driver is not what makes Kubica a comeback story. He is a comeback story because last season he...came back to F1.

The new X2 M35i is mechanically identical to your car. What makes the Mini version more fun to you? Styling?

I’ve lived through the transition from wagons to minivans to SUVs and it goes basically like this:

The BMW N54 HPFP is failure-prone but not super expensive to replace. Remanufactured part is around $350ish or so and the labor’s not too bad. The same HPFP is used on the later single turbo N55 motor. I had to replace mine. The bigger concern and potential repair cost on the N54 is the turbos themselves.

Oooh I’m so here for all the Elon Musk’s asshole sniffers to come out in full force.

You’re probably thinking of the old version of the Soul EV. The new one has the same 201 hp motor as this.

This is incorrect:

Minimum standard to be considered properly quick by me, yes. Properly quick means able to confidently scoot past most typical mainstream cars on the road when needed. It’s not about top speed, it’s about acceleration.

My minimum standard for quick is running in the 13s in the 1/4 mile. In this day and age mid-level compact luxury sedans like the M340i are running in the 12s. Get with the times yo.

I’m a religious new clothes washer. My wife, in spite of generally being much more fastidious than I, for some reason feels no such need to do so. Now I’m going to have to find a strategic opportunity to drop this little nugget of information on her. I’m prepared to incur a little bit of annoyed squinting in response.
