I parked next to an R50 Mini recently and was reminded just how positively tiny they are compared to my E92 335xi, and later modern Mini iterations.

The HR-V back seat is cavernous compared to the CX-3. I haven’t sat in a C-HR.

I looked up the old and new 3 dimensions. They’re largely the same but the old one is a little taller and the new sedan got a little longer.

Now playing

It looks like a newer version vs the system in my wife’s 2018 CX-5.

The rear quarter window is in fact a window. Not a big one, mind you, but it exists.

It’s the same climate controls as the 3 that the CX-30 shares a platform with. Their dashboards are almost identical.

Yes, the CX-3 is based on the 2. But that in and of itself doesn’t mean it needs to be so cramped inside. The HR-V is based on the Fit and both of those cars have super roomy back seats relative to their overall size.

The CX-30 is what the CX-3 should’ve been from the start. The CX-3 is so damn tiny. I’m 5'11" and with the driver’s seat set how I like it the only way to get into the back seat is to splay my legs on either side of the driver’s seat. Meanwhile plenty of other cars in the segment can fit regular sized adults in back ju

In my totally unscientific opinion I feel like the American market loves assorted alphanumeric shit separate from car names that makes them feel like they’re in the know. Oh look at my Camaro ZL1! Oh look at my E39 M5! But the alphanumeric names, I feel like that’s less the case.

Um, the Miata definitely has a hairdresser car rep in the US.

Most higher trims of Hyundai & Kia models include heated/vented front seats, heated steering wheel & heated rear seats.

Hyundai & Kia offer heated steering wheels on most of their models. For something Outback-or-smaller sized, there’s the Tucson Limited & Ultimate, Sportage EX Technology Package & SX, and Santa Fe Limited with either the NA or turbo engine option.

That’s narf.

This change in requirements is for all the cars out there where you have to pay extra for the fancy version of their headlights, and the base headlights are crap. Think of all the cars that come standard with halogen bulbs but offer an upgrade to LEDs on higher trims or as part of option packages. The only change

Um yeah, about that...

So.... What kind of differential, open or LSD?

The A-class is a 5 door hatch in most of the rest of the world but the US only gets it as a sedan plus the assorted other A-class based cars (CLA, GLA, GLB).

Here, this will help settle you back down: in the USA you will only be able to purchase the A 35 with 100% more added trunk.

So you’re saying you’d rather have an A 35.
