Subaru did not create a separate manufacturer for the S209. STI already existed as a separate manufacturer. STI’s status as a separate manufacturer is what prevented previous STI-built cars from being certified in the US.
They need to go hang out with RUF owners explaining why their cars aren’t Porsches.
The funny thing about your idea is that Subaru is one of the few manufacturers that still does port-installed options/accessories.
Since this DCT is also soon to be available in the Veloster N, I wonder if the Sonata N-Line will get the eLSD from Veloster N Performance Package. I’m going to guess no since the base Veloster N has an open diff. But it’d be cool.
I had a rental Altima recently and it was a generally good car that felt nice and tight and quiet. But I still didn’t like it, because the driving position was just weird. The seat bottom was very scooped-out so it kinda envelops your ass and thighs, which is ok. But the center console and dash are pretty tall, so if…
Toyota was the one talking about not doing CP/AA due to privacy concerns.
Except most modern BMWs have no suitable spot in their dashboard where you could install an aftermarket receiver.
Until recently, BMW had it set up where you had to first pay for navigation to even have the ability to add CarPlay for another $300 on top of navigation. No navigation, no CarPlay option for you.
BMW when they rolled out the subscription claimed that because they offer wireless CarPlay they needed to more frequently push OTA updates to the infotainment systems to maintain that capability as Apple updated CarPlay on phones, and the subscription was defraying the cost of producing those updates. But...nobody…
Former Madison, WI resident here. Kwik Trip and PDQ (RIP) are not the same concept as this. Yes, they’re nice gas stations with a good selection of decent food, made and sold by the gas station. But other than being a business that involves both cars and food, I don’t see how that’s similar to chef-y food trucks/carts …
I wasn’t the one who brought up this topic, that was someone else.
When you’re talking about the emissions from transporting things, buying local helps. But farming animals creates a whole lot of greenhouse gasses from all sorts of other stuff unrelated to transportation. Including all of the farts.
But...animal agriculture actually is a big source of greenhouse gasses, at least according to those silly folks at NIH.
So what you’re saying is, since I’m a vegan who drives a car that gets shitty gas mileage, I’m still ahead of the curve?
The differentiation is the 5 instead of a 6, duh. 😜
I mean, sure, sorta kinda, but until now a V suffix implied a true competitor to M, AMG, RS, etc and this is at the level of like an M340i, C43 or S4.
Nobody would be pissed at all if they called these V-Sport instead of full V.
