Subaru dipping into their parts bin and slightly reconfiguring one of their existing turbo motors for BRZ/86 duty makes a ton of sense for the current model as well, and we’ve all seen how excited Subaru has been to do that.

Nope, you’re right, the correction is wrong. The Impossible Foods website says 19 g protein per 4 oz burger.

The Impossible Whopper is cooked on the same conveyor broiler as the rest of the beef burgers. BK offers an option if you’re concerned about cross-contamination you can request it be cooked on a separate broiler or flat top or whatever it is they have off to the side.

I never said choosing a vegetarian/vegan diet is an evolutionary change, or that evolution is based on choice. What I meant is that humans have evolved to a point where we’re capable of choosing whether or not to eat meat, and able to survive regardless of which choice we make. That’s all.

Hopefully that poor Acura TL/CL interior isn’t a Type-S.

What I mean is:

Thanks for the name love. I will say that having tried Beyond & Impossible burgers, I do think they’re more appetizing in a meat-mimicking way than typical veggie burgers. Their food science-y tricks do a better job of impersonating meat than traditional veggie burgers.

So your plan here was...

Whether you’re vegan or not, your “whole foods, plant based” comment read as vegan. If not then so be it.

Fuck you.

Whether you believe that animals are the same as humans is beside the point. There are those of us who don’t believe in consuming the flesh of other living animals, regardless of whether their version of sentience is advanced as humans’.

The gimmick with the Impossible & Beyond burgers is that they approximate the overall cooking lifecycle of ground beef. Cooking them well done will only “ruin” them the same way as cooking beef burgers well done “ruins” them.

I’m vegan, have been for a couple years, and I find comments like yours dispiriting.

I’m vegan and agree with most of your sentiment about wanting to be nice to animals, but your first point is exactly the kind of bullshit that causes people to lash out at vegans. Humans are certainly capable of digesting meat. There’s plenty of science that says excessive meat consumption is unhealthy, but that’s not

And they were like that for a long time like 84-08...

I don’t remember any of my high school chemistry except for the term covalent bonding which I don’t even remember what it is, only that it is a word in my vocabulary for some reason. So most of this went right over my head.

This is what Honda used to be great at. Their totally normal regular cars had double wishbone suspensions, big windows, low beltlines, buttery smooth steering, and fantastic manual shifters.

When I was a kid in the early 90s in the DC suburbs, I can tell you that families were snapping up 1st gen Explorers and ZJ Grand Cherokees like crazy. Chevy Suburbans were very popular as well. One of my neighbors had to get on a *wait-list* for a Suburban.
