Here in the DC area the tamale ladies have taken to selling their wares on Facebook Marketplace.

I drive a coupe. Having a bigass coupe door is not a luxury, it’s a liability. Everywhere I park I’m constantly having to make sure to open the door juuuuuust right to not ding other cars, and then wiggle my way into the car while making sure to not open the door any farther and ding that car I tried so hard not to…
I’d much rather have an i30 N with all the same goodies as the Veloster but Hyundai USA decided we MURRICANS need our hot hatches to be in the least-practical shape, even though all the other hot hatches here are still regular hatchbacks.
DMV means the District (DC), Maryland and Virginia. It’s shorthand for the greater Washington, DC area since the city is self-contained and its suburbs are in MD and VA.
Sorta kinda, technically. My particular city in the DC burbs (Rockville, MD) has no BK within its limits. However there are several just outside the city limits.
Me personally the reason I don’t eat meat is because you have to kill an animal to get it. But I was an enthusiastic omnivore for a long time before I stopped eating meat, so I’d be totally fine with lab-grown meat.
I grew up in the DMV, lived in Madison, WI for 18 years, and moved back last year. 2018 was the first season I was once again a local and I paid less attention to the Skins than I ever have. They’re exhausting to devote energy towards. During their season opener against Arizona, I went to Target and a dispensary, both…
Came here for the Turbografx-16 reference, was not disappointed.
M5 Competition is awd-only, so yeah.
The main difference between a good fwd with LSD and other drivetrain layouts is the driving style for turns. Fwd + LSD your best move is to trail brake to load up the front tires and help turn-in, get the car pointed the right way into the turn, then feed in gas to power out of the turn. The diff *should* send power…
See, exactly! 🧐 Built to lease, not to keep long term. It’s not AMG Benz level repair costs but there are many common things that break and are 4-figure “wear items” that crop up if you hold on to the thing. Like...high pressure fuel pumps. Got me a fresh one of those a while back just like every other N54 & N55.
My 335xi hasn’t had much go wrong lately because I already fixed most of the common things that go wrong with them. So while I could hold on to it and probably be fine for a while, it's still rolling the dice.
I’m in the Maryland burbs of DC and wish Japanese Classics was here, but they’re actually in Richmond, VA.
I had a 135is DCT and I’m selling my modded E92 335xi 6MT. I’ve enjoyed driving them but they’re also a pain in the ass. The depreciation, lack of reliability, difficulty of repair, and parts costs are what pushed me away. They truly are built to be leased.
I’m in the process of selling the second and most likely final BMW that I’ve owned. For many reasons, including this.
I live in the DC area. Traffic here is garbage, and Google Maps or Waze is far superior to any car’s built-in navigation. I have an Android phone expect a modern car to be able to put Google Maps or Waze from my phone on its main dashboard screen. This is not some wild crazy thing to want from a performance-oriented…
The BMW X2 M35i does also get the LSD.
I suppose that’s possible, but they’re not exactly the types to deep dive into settings and twiddle things. I often see them doing something with their phones that’s the long, roundabout way of getting there and point out an easier way of accomplishing that thing.
