When I test drove an M235i xDrive the steering was completely lacking any sort of feel. You could chuck the car around just fine but it was very disconnected feeling. I used to drive a 135is and now drive a modded E92 335xi. The awd 2er’s steering is a big step down.
You should mention that the Tourer V trim of these has a stiffened body structure, upgraded suspension, LSD, all the goodies.
