What Transformers movie was that from?

‘sup, bro? Let’s hang...

Seriously. Also... the Wrangler drives like shit. I ge everywhere I need to offroad with a 1998 Suburban. YES. The Wrangler is a better platform to build a serious offroader. This seems like a better platform for building A functional moderate adventure rig. Like a cross between a 4 runner and a Wrangler which is,

I’ve owned 5 Jeep wranglers and never once dropped the windshield. Why? Because on the JK it’s a pain in the ass to do, and also a pain to get to seal as well again once you do it. Many Jeepers also accessorize their Jeep in ways that make dropping it an even bigger pain.

This makes sense anyone with the slightest inclination when it comes to understanding economics or common sense. Anyone with a basic knowledge of consumer behavior would have predicted this.

Because I think certain parts of Jalopnik find it gauche to own a fancy truck. They seem to be blind to the certain reasons for ownership.

Why hate on trucks? I prefer cars too but modern trucks really are the do it all vehicle. They make a lot more sense than an SUV to me.

Jason, this clearly states FOR ADULTS

Hi, I’m one of those “friends”. What do you seem to think we’re upset about, again?

Nah, only the states that don’t follow federal law.

Saturn doesn’t actually have any brand equity to resurrect.

People forced the government to regulate the hell out of the auto industry in terms of safety. All that safety add weight, engineering cost, manufacturing costs, material costs, etc.

I mean, you could search and find out pretty good studies that take this into account for a total life cycle analysis. In the end, it ends up being a case of if you value total green house emissions vs land fill & recyclability vs total energy consumption. Electric cars come out ahead for emissions (even if your power

I’m right there with you as a fellow rust belt resident.  Every DD I’ve moved on from has been do to rust related issues.  Every try replacing a steering rack on vehicle that has seen 12 winters?  You only do that if you have no other option.  Once you can afford to avoid that kind of shit, you most definitely do!

I’ve seen the same, last couple months. There are a bunch of new scripts wanting to run on the Gawker sites.

All auto manufacturers need to be consolidated and RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT!

That’s why the Yugo was the most amazing car ever made!

Who would want this? Why would a factory want to introduce a fuckton of complexity into their production line? Why would a tesla owner want to spend a bunch of money to have a refreshed version of their old car? Why would a jalop want to constrain the supply of junkyard tesla parts?

Wake up, read headline on Reddit, write horribly misinformed, alarmist opinion piece.

It’s time to trash this article now.

I get that auto workers want job “security” since many of them have worked there for decades. You don’t want to be thrown out at the end on your duff when you’re in your 50's. But honestly, there is a lot of myopic thinking and entitlement views coming from so many of these Rust Belt workers. Sure GM and other
